ARTISTIC TECHNIQUE
How does John create the Impressionistic effect?
John responds: On a weekend trip to shoot flowers in a greenhouse in Canada many years ago, I discovered an old cracked and distorted mirror that created interesting reflections - I photographed the reflections rather than the flowers themselves and thus began my impressionistic photography. I love to experiment with different photographic techniques using filters and fast film, and occasionally embellish some of my photographs with oil pastels or acrylics (for example, 17 Rue du 8 Mai).
