SHIPPING
How
will my order be shipped?
Orders
are shipped via FedEx Home Delivery (residential) or FedEx
Ground (commercial). Express delivery is available for an
additional charge. Contact the studio to place an order
that you would like express shipped.
How
is shipping calculated?
Shipping
on your prints is calculated at 15% for framed, 10% for
matted, and 5% for unmatted prints. Our shipping cost takes
into account: packaging materials, labor to carefully package
your piece, and carrier costs including insurance to guarantee
your picture will be delivered with care.
IMAGE
SIZES AND FRAMES
What
size is this picture?
Every
picture can be printed in one of these sizes: 4x6 matted
to 8x10, 10x14 matted to 16x20, 14x20 matted to 22x28, and
28x38 matted to 36x48. After framing, it will be larger,
but the exact finished size depends on the frame style you
choose. Other sizes may be printed as a special order for
an additional charge. Contact the studio to place an order
for sizes other than those listed.
What
color and style of matt do you offer?
All
matting is white with John Galbo's signature just below
the print in the right corner and the image title and limited
edition number in the left corner (sizes 16 x 20 and larger).
Weave and color can vary slightly - please let us know if
we should attempt to match mat weave and color with a previous
John Galbo purchase. All 36 x 48 mats are Crescent "Brite
White" acid-free cotton rag.
Can
I get this picture in a different frame than the two that
are represented with the image?
The
frames that are represented with each image have been selected
by John as what he feels best complement that particular
piece. However, if you would like to order a different frame
than what is shown as an option, you may do so for no additional
charge by ordering over the phone.

ARTISTIC
TECNIQUE
How
does John create the Impressionistic effect?
John
responds: On a weekend trip to shoot flowers in a greenhouse
in Canada many years ago, I discovered an old cracked and
distorted mirror that created interesting reflections -
I photographed the reflections rather than the flowers themselves
and thus began my impressionistic photography. I love to
experiment with different photographic techniques using
filters and fast film, and occasionally embellish some of
my photographs with oil pastels or acrylics (for example,
17 Rue du 8 Mai).
